Entertainment Weekly have shared the trailer for ‘Mary + Jane’, a new comedy produced by Snoop Dogg, and set to premier on MTV in September.
Mary + Jane follows the adventures of Jordan and Paige as they struggle to get their weed-delivery business off the ground. The new trailer teases some of the challenges the women will face this season, including not-so-friendly competition, sleeping with their customers, and finding love in Los Angeles.
But, the women are determined to succeed (or die trying). “We are not losers,” says Paige in the trailer, which describes Jordan and Paige as “two best buds, with the best bud.”
Following hot on the footsteps of Broad City and High Maintenance – two successful cannabis culture orientated comedies – Mary + Jane appears to transpose the start-up stoner formula over to the West Coast (unsurprising, for a Snoop Dogg joint).
The Doggfather himself, as it happens, will be making a special cameo appearance at some stage during the first season of M+J, in addition to providing the programme’s theme tune.
‘Mary + Jane’ will premiere on MTV on the 5th of September.
